When is DDA Housing Scheme 2018 going to happen for real?
If
you have been active around DDA 2018 news, you would know that this
year the application status has been quite slow. The reasons could be
many and one of them is lack of response from the people. Delhi
Development Authority launches apartments every year but sadly the
response of 2017 DDA flats was not good.
The
reason was that the allotted flats were not well furnished and there
were other reasons as well such as small spaces. This year, DDA flats
2018 have been made by considering the response of 2017. So, the
flats are well furnished with basic facilities provided from the
beginning.
DDA
Flats 2018
A
total no of 20,980 flats are being offered out of which 3622 are for
Janata or EWS (economically weaker sections), 16,298 for LIG
(low-income group) flats, 579 for MIG (middle-income group) and 488
for HIG (high-income group) houses.
Who
are eligible for DDA 2018?
The
applicants must match the following criteria:
- Must be citizen of India
-
Should have attained the age of 18 years
-
Must not own any residential house or plot in full or in part, on leasehold/freehold basis in New Delhi, Delhi or Delhi cantonment, either in his/her own name or in the name of his/her wife/husband/minor dependent children
-
Jointly owned plot or land under the residential house is less than 66.9 square meters, he/she can apply under any of the schemes
-
A person who has already been allotted a house/flat constructed by DDA or any other land/owning agency even if it is less then 66.9 sq meters, is not eligible for allotment under any of the schemes of DDA.
To
buy a house either through lucky draw of DDA or from a builder, you
need money. If you have it, you can surely purchase that property.
But, most of the people instead take a loan to purchase a house. For
that, you can consider a suitable lender. You can compare interest
rates of home loans. Since DDA flats are government authorized, you
will have no problem in getting the approval. You only need to check
the rates and whether or not you have the documents required for it.
You must have income proof as one of the documents because most of
the lenders do not accept home loan applications without income
proof. Even if some NBFCs may consider your applications but the
rates will be a little higher. Also, PMAY is available till March
2019 so you can see if you are eligible for interest subsidy under
that criteria or not. Below is a list of top housing finance
